WESTERN CANADA TRAILS: EPISODE VIII- Whistler Mountain

things to do whislter lost lake canada

Chalet style Pedestrian village : Whistler

Why :

Just a super place to stay, many activities, really touristic though. Party, restaurant, hike, bike…

We should  have spent more time there (only 2 nights). We stayed in the hostel Whistler Lodge, with super nice kitchen, sauna, jacuzzi, and not so expensive like 40 CAD for one night. Beds were ok!

What :

Downhill Mountain Bike : this is the place to be. It’s expensive but it’s really worth it. You can rent all the stuff, bike, and gondola pass. Without a private guide it’s like 250 CAD for 3 hours with everything, otherwise it’s 355 CAD, per

person of course. Yes it’s expensive, but it’s the best place to do this, and without a guide just forget to go there, it’s a labyrinth of treks. We spent 3h30 of amazing downhill with our private guide, but for the cost of a group… super nice offer!

That was the only thing we did there… Instead of Kamloops, stay one more night there. Almost a week would be amazing there. There’s hikes to do, going on the top of the top with the gondola. If you take the bike and everything, you can go to the top with the same pass! So you can spare 60 CAD.

Lost Lake is a nice hike. Don’t get lost trying to find it because it can happens if you’re walking from the bottom of the village.

The places I went to :

  • Downhill Mountain Bike
  • Whistler Lodge Hostel
