Old Valyria Canal Essos at River Quoile County Down: Cistercian Abbey at County Down set beside River Quoile and Cathedral Town of Saint Downpatrick have also been used in the backdrop. Inch Abbey is where the war of the Five Kings began as Robb Stark learning about his father Ned Stark’s death went to war.
Brotherhood Without Banners under the leadership of Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr had their hideout in the Riverlands and where Sandor Clegane faces trial by combat against Beric Dondarrion at Pollnagollum Cave Marble Arch in Belmore Forest at County Fermanagh.
Robb Stark’s camp was erected at Audley’s field on the shore of Strangford Lough and this is exactly where Jaime Lannister was captured and released.
Strangford Lough County Down have the castle ruins that was recreated into the Twins that belonged to the Freys and the which Robb Stark and Catelyn Stark asked to cross the Green Fork to Walder Frey. Jaime Lannister and Ser Bronn of Blackwater came ashore Dorne.
Murlogh bay at County Antrim has been recreated into Slaver’s Bay of the Seven Kingdoms on the Coast of Essos. Yara rode Theon to their father Balon Greyjoy on a horse on Murlough Bay. Ser Davos of Seaworth was rescued at Murlough Bay after the Battle of Blackwater. Rathlin Island in the North Channel can be viewed from here.

Portstewart Strand is where Jaime Lannister and Ser Bronn of Blackwater disguised as Martell Soldiers and get in a clash with Dornish soldiers. On the coast of Sunspear daughters of Oberyn Martell namely Sand Snake sisters Tyene, Obara and Nymeria mothered by Ellaria Sand conspired to kill Myrcella.
Quintin Bay in Portaferry County Down had been recreated in the series as Quintin castle was recreated as Castle Stokeworth in the Crownlands where Jaime Lannister comes to have a talk with Ser Bronn of the Blackwater to accompany him to Dorne to bring Myrcella back home because Cersei said him to do so.
Ballintoy Harbor on Causeway Coastal Route of County Antrim at end of Knocksaughey Hill which passes by Larrybane and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is where the Iron Islands at Pyke Lordsport Harbor in County Antrim where Theon Greyjoy came for an alliance with Balon Greyjoy and his sister Yara. Ballintoy Beach is where Euron Greyjoy is drowned after he is chosen as the King of the Iron Islands. Tyrion Lannister as a fugitive flees to Westeros.
Lough Neagh was also recreated into the Summer Sea where Jorah steals a boat Ser Jorah Mormont and Tyrion Lannister set sail the Summer Sea to Meereen to his Queen Daenerys. Tyrion and Jorah come into confrontation with the slavers of Essos at Lough Shore Park in Antrim plateau through the Neck into the Stormlands.
Mourne Mountains near Tollymore Forest park is the scene from where Theon Greyjoy tried to escape from the capture of Ramsay Bolton.
Shillanavogy Valley beneath Slemish Mountain in County Antrim was recreated Dothraki Grasslands when Khalasar departs Pentos and rides to Vaes Dothrak before the Khals taking the widow of Khal Drogo Khaleesi. Khal Drogo rode across here towards Vaes Dothrak with Daenerys Targaryen and Viserys Targaryen.
Glens of Antrim was recreated as Runestone in the Vale of Arryn where Lord Baelish and Sansa Stark watched as Robin Arryn practiced duelling. This is the place where Lord Yohn Royce as a ward takes Robyn Arryn as the Lord of the Eyrie at Glenariff.
Mourne Mountains in County Down was recreated as the Vaes Dothrak entrance. Leitrim Lodge at the foothills of the Mourne was recreated as the northern lands to Winterfell when Bran met Jojen and Meera called the Haunted forest at County Down Tollymore Forest Park.
Binevenagh Mountain at Londonderry county on the edge of Antrim plateau is the location of Dothraki Sea when Drogon rescues Daenerys from the fighting pits of Meereen when she was attacked by the sons of the Harpy. The Magilligan Peninsula, Downhill, Bellarena and Benone Beach in Limavady are some other spots where shooting was done. Binevenagh Mountain is on the edge of Antrim plateau over County Armagh and County Londonderry with distant views of the west coast of Scotland.
King’s Landing Dungeons at Shane’s Castle at County Antrim on the edge of Lough Neagh is where Gregor Clegane beheaded a horse.
Antrim Plateau at Cairncastle is where Littlefinger took Sansa to Moat Cailin to make her marry Ramsay Bolton to ally with the Boltons.
Castle Ward at County Down overlooking Strangford Lough was home to the Starks before Bolton’s siege.
